1. Remove protective release liner on BOTH SIDES of shield and discard. To remove liner, run finger along edge. (One of the liners is green/blue, the other is opaque.) The face shields are clear. Product images enhanced to show detail. Model image shows actual clarity of product.
2. Attach clips to the side of the temple frames of your glasses or support frames and adjust for comfort. When clips are properly placed, the shield will contour the face. The shield should not touch your nose. Adjust clips slightly away from mouth to reduce fogging. The clips on the shield are not to be replaced or removed.
3. Properly disinfect or dispose of face shields when contaminated or scratched, or if the clips come loose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the shields I received not clear?
PRO-TEX® Face Shields have protective liners on BOTH sides of the shield that need to be peeled off before using. The face shields are clear. Please refer to the Instruction Sheet enclosed in the box of shields.
Are the face shields fog resistant?
Fogging should not occur if the shield is properly distanced from the face. The face shield is open at the top area which allows for air to flow outward. If fogging occurs, you can adjust the clips to angle away or move the shield forward along frame arms to allow ½”-1” clearance between the shield and your nose. The clips allow a broad range of adjustment.
Do the shields come with clips already attached? Will I need to replace the clips?
Each shield comes with two clips already attached. The clips are not designed to be removed or replaced.
Are the clips the same size for each size of shields?
The clips come in only one size and fit most prescription glasses and our support frames. Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.
Will your shields clip onto safety glasses?
Yes, they will clip to most safety glasses. We sell safety glasses that are compatible with our face shields. Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.
Do the Extra Wide size face shields fit loupes that have a light attached?
The Extra Wide shields will fit most loupe types, but not all types. Item FSX measures 13" wide and 7" high. Click here to learn more.
Will your face shields clip to my prescription glasses?
Yes, PRO-TEX® Face Shields will fit most prescription glasses. Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.
Can I buy just one or two shields?
The face shields are only sold in boxes of 12 and are also available for subscription ordering. For one or two shields, we’d recommend our sample pack here.
Can the face shields be washed and reused?
PRO-TEX® Face Shields should be wiped with warm, soapy water by using a soft cloth, while wearing gloves. Re-clip your clean and dry shield to glasses or support frames just before use. To minimize water spots, use soft (deionized) water. Dispose of face shields for sanitary reasons, when contaminated, scratched, or soiled. Fold and crease used shield or cut when discarding to avoid unauthorized use.

What is your return policy?
Due to Covid 19 we are unable to accept returns of our products at this time.
Most prior returns have cited the wrong size shield. Please measure carefully before ordering:
FS6 measures 10” wide by 6” high and is tapered to 4.5” wide at the bottom. The clips are 9” on center. (Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.)
FS8 measures 10” wide by 8” high and is tapered 4.5” wide at the bottom. The clips are 9” on center. (Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.)
FSX measures 13” wide by 7” high and is curved to 7” wide at the bottom. The clips are 12” on center. These shields are designed for attaching to certain loupes. (Clips work best on frames with thin arms up to 1/8th of an inch thick.) Measure the curved length where the clips would attach to your loupes before ordering.
